# Date: April 21
# Time: 13.00 H
We already started with the upcoming parties with a super concert. We're back with the third edition of #VermúFunk because in Bastardo we love to get ahead of the fun and that's why we invite you to our hostel, located in Malasaña, the coolest neighborhood in the capital, to our unique events. This time is going to play a Mexican group called Salmerón on April 21 to enjoy their music at vermouth time.
Salmerón, a Mexican artist, arrives in Madrid to present his first solo album called "Humano". The album was released in June 2018. Presented in Mexico City before a full house, Salmerón undertook a tour of much of the country.
It didn't take long for the album to be well accepted by the Mexican public. The restlessness to set foot in Spanish lands is that now he brings it to Bastardo Hostel this coming Sunday April 21 at 13hrs.
"It was always a dream for me to present myself in Spain. The language, the closeness to Mexican history, as well as the admiration between both cultures, is that motivates me very much to bring my music to Spain. A number of Spanish artists have visited Mexico with great success. And an endless number of Mexican artists have also conquered the Spanish public. It would be a dream come true to be able to sow a seed that will allow me to return one day to Spain again and gradually conquer the Spanish public”.

"The recognition I feel for bands like Love of Lesbian, who have marked my life with their songs, coming to position themselves as a band that is and will be present all my life. Dorian, with whom I have shared the stage and with whom I have a nice friendship. And like leaving Los Hombre G out, my childhood wouldn't be the same without them making us sing, jump, dance, cry and a lot of feelings I experienced with them as a little boy. They are bands/artists that make me think that it's possible to achieve the goals you set for yourself in the musical field. Spain has given me a lot musically”.
The combination of anecdotes, nostalgia and many feelings make their lyrics stories that you'll want to hear the singer-songwriter's voice. Salmerón will tell us how the songs were born, those experiences that one has and that, more than one, will surely be identified.
"Who hasn't had his heart broken? I'm fortunate enough to heal that feeling by taking it to a song. I'm fortunate enough to be able to make a lyric and sing it, waiting for people to identify themselves and make the song their own. Well, now I want to sing those feelings made into songs”.
Salmerón will interpret 8 songs of his authorship in acoustic version, explained one by one how they were born. He will explain the reasons for his way of composing. He will talk about his beginnings, which happened about 15 years ago. The facets through which he went and the end of being a solist in a medium full of bands and few solo artists.
In 2016 Salmerón took part in the Gustavo Cerati Tribute album "Disco Eterno" (Eternal Disk) thanks to the invitation of the Argentine MUTE Magazine interpreting the song "Ángel Eléctrico" (Electric Angel). He has also shared the stage with international bands such as Calle 13 and the Spanish band Dorian.
Salmerón is a nostalgic touch and full of feeling that shows a very personal side of the author. A human being open to life and all its ups and downs. We invite you to listen, share the songs and not miss his presentation at Bastardo Hostel on Sunday 21 April at 13hrs.
