The Creative Madtrip in Bastardo

Let's play with Madrid!

We are launching a special activity for all those staying at Bastardo, the hostel in the centre of Madrid that charms you every day. We have created a very entertaining game, Creative Madtrip, which will take you through a narration that will lead you (without having to move from your seat in our Limbo brewery) to the best corners of Madrid from fictitious stops, in which a different creative game will start in each one of them.

Whether you're looking for an alternative to a classic cultural tour of the city or you're looking for a fresh way to connect with other creative people in Madrid, you're in for a treat!

Surely you have already participated in a free walking tour in which you had to follow a guide for 2 hours. The content was undoubtedly very interesting, but once back home, what do you remember? Surely not much and some curious building that got stuck in your retina and you don't even know why. "Tell me and I will forget, show me and I will remember, involve me and I will understand", is what our dear bastard, the Chinese thinker, Confucius, said. Well, we encourage you to prepare yourself to follow his advice and understand Madrid like no one else by participating in the creative Madtrip experience.

During the activity you will be a traveller who does not consume the city but treats it as a source of inspiration. You will follow a fictitious itinerary around Madrid playing ingenious mini-games without leaving your chair. You will use creative means of expression (drawing - don't worry, pictionary level!, writing, games...) to explore the city from an original perspective. This will help you get to know Madrid in a more active way, and will surely make you want to visit some of the unusual places we will be discussing... but not in a fictitious way, but in a real way. When you finish this tour, you will be armed with creative techniques that you can reproduce in any city. You will become a creative tourist.

As a creative tourist, you will put a bit of yourself in the city, personalise your trip and make it more unique. It goes without saying that discovering a country in this way is the best way to soak up the DNA of a place.

Step 1. We will play a game to get to know each other better. You will experience the "Jackson test", an activity that will help you express your divergent thinking.

Step 2. The games begin! A group writing game, unless the group opts for a more competitive but equally creative game. Then a game in which you will have fun discovering the works of the Prado Museum in an unusual way. In the next game you will have to take on a role that will change the way you perceive Madrid. Unless you choose another game that puts you for a while in the position of a designer visiting Madrid. The last game is called Chaotic Stories and in this last session, you will discover Madrid's little secrets...

We won't give you any more clues because the best thing to do is to come and try it out.
