If you are one of those who are passionate about music either to attend a concert or enjoy the sounds while having a few reeds with friends, Bastard is your choice. Apart from being a charming hostel in Madrid, we also offer all kinds of plans. Among them, come and drink the vermouth to the rhythm of the funk genre: VermouthFunk. A new activity that we will do every month, so watch out!
Our first edition of this concert will take place next February 23rd at 12.30h. Here you will be able to discover musicians of great interest and good taste who will make your weekend mornings into an awesome plan. We will keep you informed about the artist of the month on social networks so that you can write it down in the agenda as essential Madrid plans.
With a fusion sound that ranges from Latin rhythms to rock, funk and jazz, Naranja Trío comes to Bastardo’s stage. In their music, improvisation plays an essential role and acts as a catalyst for communication between band members.
The three members, born at the Escuela de Música Creativa in Madrid, is made up of three jazz musicians from different parts of Spain:
Román Ledesma (keyboard and synthesizers): He has participated in festivals such as ‘Madrid es Negro’, together with Jayme Marques, a legend of Brazilian music. He has also formed part of the Creativa Big Band, under the direction of saxophonist Miguel Malla.
Carlos Bueno (electric bass): He has played in the classrooms of Juan San Martín, Germán Kucich, Miron Rafajlovic or Andy Phillips, among other experienced musicians of the Creativa. He has worked in musicals such as El Show de Nur, with more than 30 musicians gathered at the Teatro Arlequín in Madrid.
Jorge Henríquez (drums): Drums from the progressive rock band Mind Control – with three EPs published and which has already participated in Festimad. He has broadened his musical background and studies the Higher Degree in Jazz and Modern Music at the Centro Superior Música Creativa.
